The Standing Issues Of Tazkiyah For The Bloggers Of The African Sheikh Dr. Abu-Abdullah Adelabu

As-Salam 'Alaikum Brothers and Sisters

(at The Awqaf London and beyond)

"Whosoever rules not according to what Allah (s.w.t.) has sent down…they are the disbelievers…they are the wrongdoers…they are the transgressors." [Q5:44-47]

Almost two years to date, criticisms were levied against my husband Nurain (Norman) and fellow student of the Sheikh and a co-founder of this African Sheikh blog, Brother Khalid (Kevin) Kofi regarding their Tazkiyah (i.e. certification or recommendation) of authority, ability and knowledge to run this blog. The issues of Tazkiyyah had led the two honest and studious members of the Awqaf to suspension of their contributions to this blog.

Following their blessed meetings and receptions of our beloved Sheikh Abu-Abdullah Adelabu April 2012 in Southampton the two reliable Muslim brothers tried to bring the issues they had had with some senior students of the Sheikh to the clarity. However, the respected Daa'is and trusted students of the Sheikh Brother Mousa Philips and Brother Yahya (John) Jofe appeared to have taken too serious (and at times personal) the minor misunderstandings about the Tazkiyah (i.e. certification or recommendation) of authority, ability and knowledge to run this blog especially after all the humble efforts by my Brother Nurain and Khalid to present their own explanations and sides of the story in a write-up of this blog titled: Sheikh Abu-Abdullah Adelabu Does Exactly What He Preaches - Al-Hamdu Lillah.

"Say: 'This is my way; I invite unto Allah (s.w.t.) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me with sure knowledge." [Q:12:108]

It was unfortunate that many senior followers of the Sheikh at the Awqaf and the Kulliyah, especially our brothers (and some sisters) from Birmingham and Luton failed to see the good intention we had to resolve the disputes and stop fitnah (i.e. tribulations) before it even began.  In no way or form did the April write up of my husband on this blog imply the Sheikh had sided with us or against us during his beneficial visits to our communities in the South Coast England, the United Kingdom April 2012. Thus some so called logics and refutations derived from Brother Yahya (John) Jofe's lecture during one of his Ramadan sessions was hardly helpful.

During the blessed month of Ramadan 2012, Brother Nurain and Brother Khalid met with our Sheikh and some of his aides and senior students at the Awqaf London UK during an Iftaar Banquet organized by our fellow Luton families.  At this occasion the Sheikh demonstrated his knowledgeable leadership that even my parents have long been hailing as they too are privileged to his assured guides and undoubted spiritual uplifts. In such an amiable and enlightened fashion every one involved was made to realize their shares of rights and wrongs in line with the Qur'an and As-Sunnah.

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Certainly, the Prophets (a.s.) have not bequeathed Dinar nor Dirham, rather they have bequeathed knowledge, so whoever takes it has taken abundant good fortune." [Authentic Hadith reported by Abu Dawud in his Book of Knowledge and at Tirimidhiy in his Book of Knowledge]

Sheikh Abu-Abdullah had ruled the two Brothers (Nurain and Khalid) resume their humble efforts and some leading Da'wah assignments upon their completion of some courses under the Sheikh's supervision and teachings. The Sheikh has now rightfully declared his Tazkiyah (i.e. certification or recommendation) for Brother Nurain and Brother Khalid upon their successful completions of the courses which had covered Memorization of at least the first four Juz's and the last four Juz's with two other selected Suwars, studies of Jami' Al-Usool, studies of Sharh Ajrumiyyah, studies of Sharh Matnu Al-Binaa, studies of selected Suwars in Jami' Ahkaam Al-Qur'an etc.

Therefore after meetings with our respected and knowledgeable Sister Umm Ahmad and Sister Mona Philips consultation with Umm Abdullah at the Awqaf London, I feel it useful to post this announcement and clarification as above. I personally thank Umm Abdullah and Sister Madinah for all their supports. I just hope the good works of this blog would now be allowed to continue.

Thus I call upon those who exaggerate about their own relationship with Sheikh Adelabu and their roles at the Awqaf. I also invite those who boast of Tazkiyah (i.e. certification or recommendation) by the Sheikh as the only legitimate source of qualifying for Da'wah to reflect on the humble characters of the Sheikh and his family.  As Brother Nurain (Norman) Miami and Brother Khalid (Kevin) Kofi wrote in their last post what is rather more important is to appreciate and celebrate our love for Almighty Allah and His Messenger, Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) above anything and any person as taught in the Quran and the authentic Sunnah by our Sheikh himself.

Ibn 'Abbas (r.a) said: "Whoever does not rule according to what Allah (s.w.t.) has sent down in the Qur'an and through tradition of the Prophet (s.a.w.) has committed a sin of disbelief". [See Kishaf ul Qana' and Nail ul Awtar]

May He, Almighty Allah forgive us all our shortcomings.  He, The Creator is All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.  Wa Aakhir Da'wanaa An Al-hamdu Lillah Rabbu l 'Alamin

Our Sheikh Abu-Abdullah Adelabu Vs. Sudanese Syria's Arab League Envoy Lt.-Gen. Mohamed Ahmed Mustafa Al-Dabi: "Should A Negro, A Muslim Negro Be A Slave Twice?"

As-salaam 'Alaykum Brother Khalid,

I believe you too have received the copies of Sheikh Abu-Abdullah's 'battles' with the Sudanese General about whom I wrote in one of my articles to be responsible for the Genocide in Darfur.  Of course, you are very much aware of how our Sudanese brothers and sisters like Brother Mu'awiyah Abu-Anisah and Brother Uthman Ad-Dugri 'crucified' me before the Sheikh was forced to come in to my defense few years back.  I doubt if the same brothers and sisters have not started their 'Fitnah' and so-called 'nationalism' already at the Awqaf following the distribution of the Sheikh's reprimanding of General Al-Dabi.
Meanwhile, as I was browsing through today my personal page at the Awqaf, I discovered a link leading through to the 'Options' page at EsinIslam.Com.  The 'Options' page has been updated from that Audio Quran opening to a notification about our Sheikh Vs. the General.  I waited no time to reach out to Brother Yahya who I suspected to have posted the extremely interesting involvement of the Sheikh.  I could not catch up with brother Yahya.  But I managed to get hold of Brother Hafiz with whom I had an amusing lengthy discussions about the circulations.  It was brilliant.  Earlier, I did speak with Brother Nurain.  We both agreed it would be nice if you could post copies of Sheikh Adelabu Vs. the General Al-Dabi for your blog readers.  I have been advised no permission is required as the content itself had been made public on EsinIslam and its affiliates because it revealed virtually nothing confidential or so personal.
Therefore, I am forwarding to you to pose here on your blog as follows:
Our Sheikh Abu-Abdullah Adelabu Vs. Sudanese Syria's Arab League Envoy Lt.-Gen. Mohamed Ahmed Mustafa Al-Dabi: "Should A Negro, A Muslim Negro Be A Slave Twice?"
Following Recent Contacts And Exchanges Between Our Sheikh Abu-Abdullah Adelabu, A Ph. D Graduate From Syria and Sudan's Lt.-Gen. Mohamed Ahmed Mustafa Al-Dabi, The Head Of The Arab League Monitoring Mission To Syria As Well As Formal Correspondences Between The Aides Of The Two Africans Since The General Was Appointed Last December 2011, EsinIslam Is Pleased To Make Available To Readers Our Sheikh’s Knowledgeable Approaches Titled: “Should A Negro, A Muslim Negro Be A Slave Twice?”.  It's Extremely Important, Educative And Revealing - We Promise.  Though Ustadh Mousa Philips Has Mailed The Copies To The Awqaf’s Registered Members Exclusively, For EsinIslam And Muxlima ‘Registered Users’, Copies Are Available Here Upon A Written Request to publicrelations@esinislam.com. The Hot Engagements Ranged From Syrian Streets To Darfur Tents, From Saddam To Gaddafi, From Obama To Osama, From Sudan's Al-Basher To Al-Asad (Whom The Sheikh Called The Tyrant Of Damascus Over 10 Times), From Queen Elizabeth Of Britain To King Abdullah Of Saudi Arabia... The Exchanges Are Fascinating From Both Sides Whoever The Reader Neutral Or Otherwise! The General Had Really Done His Homework, Quoting Several Past Statements Of Our Sheikh Apparently From Arabic Sources Including This: "One Better Defends King Abdullah As The Custodian Of The Two Holy Lands Than To See Ahmadinejad (To Whom The Sheikh Referred As A Majousi Mushrik) Commander-In-Chief Of A Ruthless Al-Rafidhi Army From Persia Invading The Ka'bah".  It's A Battle Between Wits Of A General And Intellects Of A Scholar.  Simply Unmissable.

From This Portal Team’s Side, Here Is A Link To Remind Of Malcom X Replace “Negro” With “Muslim”, Which It’s Applicable To Today. As Extremely Important As Our Sheikh’s Conclusions And Rightly Reproaches Of General Al-Dabi, Is The Last Part Of Malcom X Speech Below In Blue. Read it!
Malcom X Replace “Negro” With “Muslim” And It’s Applicable To Today
“This modern house Negro loves his master. He wants to live near him. He’ll pay three times as much as the house is worth just to live near his master, and then brag about ‘I’m the only Negro out here.’ ‘I’m the only one on my job.’ ‘I’m the only one in this school.’ You’re nothing but a house Negro. And if someone comes to you right now and says, ‘Let’s separate,’ you say the same thing that the house Negro said on the plantation. ‘What you mean, separate? From America? This good white man? Where you going to get a better job than you get here?’ I mean, this is what you say. ‘I ain’t left nothing in Africa,’ that’s what you say. Why, you left your mind in Africa. On that same plantation, there was the field Negro. The field Negro — those were the masses. There were always more Negroes in the field than there was Negroes in the house. The Negro in the field caught hell. He ate leftovers. In the house they ate high up on the hog. The Negro in the field didn’t get nothing but what was left of the insides of the hog. They call ‘em ‘chitt’lin” nowadays. In those days they called them what they were: guts. That’s what you were — a gut-eater. And some of you all still gut-eaters. The field Negro was beaten from morning to night. He lived in a shack, in a hut; He wore old, castoff clothes. He hated his master. I say he hated his master. He was intelligent. That house Negro loved his master. But that field Negro — remember, they were in the majority, and they hated the master. When the house caught on fire, he didn’t try and put it out; that field Negro prayed for a wind, for a breeze. When the master got sick, the field Negro prayed that he’d die. If someone come to the field Negro and said, ‘Let’s separate, let’s run,’ he didn’t say ‘Where we going?’ He’d say, ‘Any place is better than here.’ You’ve got field Negroes in America today. I’m a field Negro. The masses are the field Negroes. When they see this man’s house on fire, you don’t hear these little Negroes talking about ‘our government is in trouble.’ They say, ‘The government is in trouble.’ Imagine a Negro: ‘Our government’! I even heard one say ‘our astronauts.’ They won’t even let him near the plant — and ‘our astronauts’! ‘Our Navy’ — that’s a Negro that’s out of his mind. That’s a Negro that’s out of his mind. Just as the slavemaster of that day used Tom, the house Negro, to keep the field Negroes in check, the same old slavemaster today has Negroes who are nothing but modern Uncle Toms, 20th century Uncle Toms, to keep you and me in check, keep us under control, keep us passive and peaceful and nonviolent. That’s Tom making you nonviolent. It’s like when you go to the dentist, and the man’s going to take your tooth. You’re going to fight him when he starts pulling. So he squirts some stuff in your jaw called novocaine, to make you think they’re not doing anything to you. So you sit there and ’cause you’ve got all of that novocaine in your jaw, you suffer peacefully. Blood running all down your jaw, and you don’t know what’s happening. ‘Cause someone has taught you to suffer — peacefully. The white man do the same thing to you in the street, when he want to put knots on your head and take advantage of you and don’t have to be afraid of your fighting back. To keep you from fighting back, he gets these old religious Uncle Toms to teach you and me, just like novocaine, suffer peacefully. Don’t stop suffering — just suffer peacefully. As Reverend Cleage pointed out, ‘Let your blood flow In the streets.’ This is a shame. And you know he’s a Christian preacher. If it’s a shame to him, you know what it is to me. There’s nothing in our book, the Quran — you call it ‘Ko-ran’ — that teaches us to suffer peacefully. Our religion teaches us to be intelligent. Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery. That’s a good religion.”
Readers' Reactions And Questions With Sheikh's Quotations From Responses
Why Did Sheikh Adelabu Get Engaged With A General/Politician?
Some Of Our Sheikh's Quotations:
“And We made from among them, leaders, giving guidance under Our command, when they were patient and used to believe with certainty in Our Aayaat.” [Q32:24]

"Allah (s.w.t.) will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge" [Q58:11]

"Allah (s.w.t.) testifies (to the core cause of Islam) that 'None has the right to be worship but He, and (so do testify) the angels, and those having knowledge (of the Qur'an and the Sunnah); maintaining His creation in Justice…" [Q3:18]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah (s.w.t.) has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. Another portion of it was hard and held the rainwater, with which Allah (s.w.t.) benefited the people. They utilised it for drinking, watering their animals and for irrigation of the land for cultivation. A portion of it was barren land, which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (so that land gave no benefit). The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah's religion, obtains benefit (from the knowledge) that Allah (s.w.t.) has revealed through me (the Prophet (s.a.w.)) and learns and then teaches others. The last example is that of a person who does not care for it and does not take Allah (s.w.t.) guidance revealed through me (he is like that barren land)."
[Reported by al Bukhari in his Book of Knowledge and Muslim in his Book of Knowledge]
Why Did The Sheikh Choose Religious Reproaches For A General/Politician?
Some Of Our Sheikh's Quotations:
"Say: 'This is my way; I invite unto Allah (s.w.t.) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me with sure knowledge." [Q:12:108]

"Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching (based on sound knowledge), and argue (through sound knowledge) with them in a way that is better." [Q16:125]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "The world is cursed, and cursed is all what is in it except with worship and remembrance of Allah (s.w.t.), and except he who upholds to the worship of Allah (s.w.t.) and His remembrance or he who teaches about Allah (s.w.t.) or he who learn about Allah (s.w.t.)."
[Found in narrations of Abu Hurairah reported by at Tirmidhiy and by Ibn Majah (decleared Hsasan by at Tirmidhiy)]

Why Did The Sheikh Believe Religious Instructions Are What A General/Politician Needs?
Some Of Our Sheikh's Quotations:
"Whosoever rules not according to what Allah (s.w.t.) has sent down…they are the disbelievers…they are the wrongdoers…they are the transgressors." [Q5:44-47]

"It is not for any believing man or woman, when Allah (s.w.t.) and His Messenger (s.w.t.) have decided a matter, to have any choice for themselves in their affairs. For whoever rebels against Allah (s.w.t.) and His Messenger (s.w.t.) has gone astray into manifest error." [Q33:36]

"Mankind were one community and Allah (s.w.t.) sent Prophets (a.s.) with glad tidings and warnings and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed." [Q2:213]

"He who obeys the Messenger (s.w.t.) has indeed obeyed Allah (s.w.t.)." [Q4:80]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "I have left amongst you two things. You will not go astray as long as you hold to them: The Book of Allah (s.w.t.) and the Sunnah of His Messenger (s.w.t.)."
[Authentic Hadith reported by Malik in al Mawwata`, al Hakim declared Hassan in Albani's al Mishkat and Sahih ul Jami']

Who Initiated The Engagements?
The General Did Initiate Through His Aides, Seeking 'Dialogues' With Our Sheikh On Syria's Ongoing Crisis (Al-Asad's Crimes As The Sheikh Called It) And On The General's Roles In Darfur
Some Of Our Sheikh's Quotations:
"O you who believe! Obey Allah (s.w.t.) and obey the Messenger (s.w.t.) and those of you who are in authority. If you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah (s.w.t.) and His Messenger (s.w.t.), if you believ in Allah (s.w.t.) and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination." [Q4:59]

"Or have they partners with Allah (s.w.t.), who have instituted for them a religion which Allah (s.w.t.) has not allowed?" [Q42:12]

"But no, by Your Lord, they can have no (real) faith, until they make you judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against your decisions, and submit with the fullest conviction." [Q4:65]

"The answer of the believer, when summoned to Allah (s.w.t.) and His Messenger (s.w.t.), in order that he (the Prophet (s.w.t.)) may judge between them, is not other than this: they say, 'we hear and we obey'. It is such as these that will attain Success. It is those who obey Allah (s.w.t.) and His Messenger (s.w.t.), and fear Allah (s.w.t.), and keep their duty to Him, who will triumph." [Q:24:51-52]

“...then whoever follows My Guidance shall neither go astray, no fall into distress and misery. But whosoever turns away from My reminder verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection.” [Q20:123-124]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) (s.a.w.) said: "Anyone who does an act which is not in agreement with us (i.e. Allah (s.w.t.) and His Messenger (s.w.t.)), then must be rejected"
[Reported by Muslim and Bukhari in his Book of as Sulh]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "He who obeys me enters paradise and he who disobeys me has refused (to enter paradise)"
[Found in Fatih ul Bari and other sources of al Bukhari's collections]

Imam Abu Hanifah (r.a.) said: "Anyone that does not know where (in sources of Islamic tenets) we take our judgement from is not suitable to accept our verdicts". Abu Hanifah also said: "When I give verdict contradicting the Book of Allah (s.w.t.) the Exalted or contradicting what is narrated from the Messenger (s.a.w.), then ignore my saying."

Imam Malik (r.a.) said: "Truly I am a mortal: (In giving verdicts on the basis of opinion) I make mistakes (sometimes) and I am correct (sometimes). Therefore, look into my opinions: all that agrees with the Book of Allah (s.w.t.) and the Sunnah of the Prophet (s.a.w.), accept it; and all that does not agree with the Book of allah (s.w.t.) and the Sunnah of the Prophet (s.a.w.), ignore it." Malik (r.a.) also said: "Everyone after the Prophet (s.a.w.) may have his sayings accepted and rejected - not so the Prophet (s.a.w.)….whoever rejects the Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) is a Kafir (a disbeliever)."

Imam Shafi' (r.a.) said: "Whenever I voice my opinion, or formulate a principle, where something contrary to my view exist on the authority of the Messenger of Allah (s.w.t.), then the correct view is what the Messenger of Allah (s.w.t.) has said, and it is my view." Sahfi (r.a.) also said: "The Muslims unanimously agreed that if a Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (s.w.t.) is made clear to someone, it is not permitted for him to leave it for the saying of anyone else." Another famous statement of Shafi' (r.a.) reads: "If you see me saying something, and contrary to it is authentically reported from the Prophet (s.a.w.) then know that my intelligence has departed."

Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal (r.a.) said: "You may not accept absolutely verdicts based on opinion, but whatever comes from the Prophet (s.a.w.) of Allah (s.w.t.) and his companions, take it absolutely." Ibn Hambal (r.a.) also said: "Whoever rejects a statement of the Messenger of Allah (s.w.t.) is on the brink of destruction."

How Diplomatic And 'Economic With Truth' Was The Sheikh Dealing With A Fearful Powerful General/Politician?
Some Of Our Sheikh's Quotations:
“The hypocrites both men and women, proceed one from another. They enjoin the wrong and forbid the right and they withhold their hands (from spending in the cause of Allah (s.w.t.)). They forget Allah (s.w.t.) so Allah (s.w.t.) has forgotten them. Lo! The hypocrites, they are the transgressors." [Q9:67]

“And who is better in speech than him who prays unto his Lord and does right, and says: Lo! I am of those who surrender unto Allah as a Muslim” [Q41:33]

"Do not incline to those who do wrong or the fire will seize you" [Q11:113]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever has the following characteristics will be a pure hypocrite, and whoever has one of them will possess a characteristic of hypocrisy until he gives it up. Whenever he speaks he lies. Whenever he promises he betrays. Whenever he makes a covenant he proves treacherous. Whenever he quarrels he is insulting."
[Reported by al Abukhari, Muslim, and an Nasa`i in Book of al Iman]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever possesses three things will find the sweetness of `Iman. For Allah (s.w.t.) and His Messenger (s.w.t.) to be more beloved to him than anything else. To love a person for Allah's sake alone. To hate to return to disbelief the way he hates to be thrown into the fire."
[Reported by al Bukhari and at Tirmidhiy in Book of al `iman]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) also said: "Whoever Allah wishes good for, He grants him the understanding of the religion, and I am Qasim (The Distributor) and Allah is Mu’ti (The Provider), and this Ummah will always remain upon the command of Allah and those who oppose them will be unable to harm them until the arrival of the command of Allah (the Day of Judgement)"
[Reported by al Bukhari in his Book of Knowledge and Muslim in his Book of Zakah]

'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud asserted: "Whoever aids a wrongdoer or taught an oppressor an argument to nullify right of an ordinary Muslim, had drawn upon himself the anger of Allah (s.w.t.)."

Didn't The Sheikh Fear He Might Be Made To Suffer For Some Of His Approaches By A Powerful General?
Some Of Our Sheikh's Quotations:
"You received your good things in your worldly life and you took your gratification out of them." [Q46:20]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever's worries were the afterlife, Allah (s.w.t.) puts richness in his heart. He corrects his affairs and the world will be compelled to come to him. But whoever's greatest worries were the world, Allah (s.w.t.) puts poorness in front of his eyes. His affairs are put in disarray, and no worldly gain will come to him except what has already been written for him"
[Hadith Hasan found in the Book of authenticity of al Albani reported by at Tirmidhiy in his Abwab uz Zuhd 2/288-289]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) also said: "Be content with what Allah (s.w.t.) allocates for you from provision and you will be the richest of people"
[Reported in Book of az Zuhd by at Tirmidhiy, Ahmad 2/310 in, Ibn Majah No. 4217]

[Reported by Muslim in Book of al Jannah, at Tirmidhiy in Book of Zuhd, and Ibn Majah No. 4108]

"If the world meant as much as a wing of a mosquito to Allah (s.w.t.), he would not have let the non-believers take a drink of water from it", added the Prophet (s.a.w.)
[Declared in as Sahihat as reported by at Tirmidhiy in Book of az Zuhd]

The Forth Khalifa of Islam, Ali (r.a.a.) said: "The Afterlife came approaching; the world passed behind. So be the people of the Afterlife, not the people of the world. Since today there is action but no account, but tomorrow there will be accounting but no opportunity will be there to do any action."
[Malik Ibn Dinar (r.a.) said: "Whoever proposed to the world, then the world would not be satisfied until he gave up all his religion as dowry."]

What's The Sheikh's Business In Arab Affairs And Politics?
Some Of Our Sheikh's Quotations:
The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islâmic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allâh, that you may receive mercy. [Q49:9]
The believers, men and women, are Auliyâ' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islâm has forbidden); they perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât) and give the Zakât, and obey Allâh and His Messenger. Allâh will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise. [Q9:71]

The Prophet said: “Indeed, the most beloved of you to me and the closest to me on the Day of Judgement are those with the best of manners, and the most detestable to me and furthest away from me on the Day of Judgement are the tharthaarun (gossip-mongers) and the mustashaddigun (ranters and ravers) and the mutafaihiqun. His companions said: “O messenger of Allah (s.t.a.) We know oftharthaarun and the mustashddiqun, so who are the mutafaihiqun?” He said: “The proud ones.”
[Reported by at Tirmidhiy in the Book of Raham was Silah, Ahmad in his Musnad, al Baghawi in His Sahih us Sunnah]

[Reported in Book of az Zuhd by at Tirmidhiy, Ahmad 2/310 in, Ibn Majah No. 4217]

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever wishes to be delivered from the Fire and enter the Paradise should die with faith in Allah and the Last Day and should treat the people as he wishes to be treated by them."

Our Sheikh Abu-Abdullah Adelabu Does Exactly What He Preaches - Al-Hamdu Lillah

As-Salaam 'Alaykum Brothers and Sisters,

“And We made from among them, leaders, giving guidance under Our command, when they were patient and used to believe with certainty in Our Aayaat.” [Q32:24]

After resolving my issues with two of the senior students of our esteemed Sheikh, Brother Mousa Philips and Brother Yahya (John) Jofe, I, Nurain (Norman), and fellow student of the Sheikh, Brother Khalid (Kevin) Kofi are pleased to resume our writings and efforts to share our experiences here in the path of seeking as well as prorogating knowledge (inshaa Allahu).  The issues which were regarding disputes with which some students and followers of the Sheikh engaged me as per my Tazkiyah (i.e. certification or recommendation) had led me
and Brother Khalid to decide suspension of our contributions to this blog in the last few months.

After yet another proven display of leadership by Sheikh Abu-Abdullah Adelabu both in knowledge and spiritualities during the recent fitnah (i.e. tribulations) about my Tazkiyah and other minor issues about my recent companies with some Muslim organizations and individuals, I understand more that:

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever Allah (s.w.t.) wishes good for, He grants him understanding of the religion."

[In Sahih ul Bukhari's Book of Knowledge and Sahih Muslim's Book of Zakaat]

I thank my beloved Sheikh Abu-Abdullah Adelabu for his wisdom and
knowledgeable approaches to the recent misgivings about me and Brother Khalid.  Our Sheikh really does exactly what he preaches - Al-hamdu lillah.

"Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching (based on sound knowledge), and argue (through sound knowledge) with them in a way that is better." [Q16:125]

I am even more proud to be (and remain) student under his safe and reliable scholarship.  My meetings and encounters with the Sheikh during his brief visit to South Coast England, the United Kingdom April 2012 had been, indeed, educational.  It had not just helped me to increase in my faith, it fostered me further true and authentic knowledge about our Glorious Religion.

"Say: 'This is my way; I invite unto Allah (s.w.t.) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me with sure knowledge." [Q:12:108]

I - as usual - respect my Sheikh Abu-Abdullah Adelabu and cherish him dearly.  May Almighty Allah, in His Immeasurable Mercy, continue to bless the Sheikh and his family.  Brother Khalid (Kevin) and I also have to re-iterate our understanding and love for our knowledgeable fellow students of the Sheikh, Brother Mousa Philips and Brother Yahya Jofe.  We believe, they - like ourselves - have the good intentions and true love for our Sheikh in heart.  Most importantly, it's important to appreciate and celebrate our love for Almighty Allah and His Messenger, Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) above anything and any person as taught in the Quran and the authentic Sunnah by our Sheikh himself.

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Certainly, the Prophets (a.s.) have not bequeathed Dinar nor Dirham, rather they have bequeathed knowledge, so whoever takes it has taken abundant good fortune."

[Authentic Hadith reported by Abu Dawud in his Book of Knowledge and at Tirimidhiy in his Book of Knowledge]

We shall - inshaa Allahu - keep people posted about issues and occurrences as necessary, especially to avoid fitnah (i.e. tribulations) suspicion can create between Muslim brothers and sisters, including ourselves who seek knowledge and hold on to the Quran and Sunnah to the utmost best.  Recent misunderstandings have made this blog even more important and relevant.

My He, Almighty Allah forgive us all our shortcomings.  He, The Creator is All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.  Wa Aakhir Da'wanaa An Al-hamdu Lillah Rabbu l 'Alamin
