We are students and followers of Sheikh Dr. Abu-Abdullah Adelabu.
Three revert Muslims among students of the African Muslim Scholar have decided to set up this blog following the embracing Islam by Brother Norman (Now Nurain) Miami. Inspired by the way Sheikh Adelabu conducted his affairs that led to his acceptance of the Great Religion, Brother Norman suggested to fellow followers of the Sheikh, Brother George (Junaid) Mber, Kevin Twa-Kofi and Bola Taylor to share with the world their experiences in dealing with the African cleric that led to their Guidance to Islam. The two reverts have consulted the knowledgeable student of Sheikh Adelabu, Brother John (Yahya) Jofe - another revert Muslim who has studied, and continues to study, intensively under Sheikh Abu-Abdullah.
Brother John (Yahya) has suggested this blog's name: Ashaykh Al-Afriqi i.e. The African Sheikh i.e. as Sheikh Abu-Abdullah is always revered to by the Arab scholars in Arabia and beyond.
As students and followers of Sheikh Dr. Abu-Abdullah Adelabu (Ph. D Damas), we seek to narrate and explain works of the Sheikh as our role model and mentor, who propagates Islam in strict accordance to the Qur'an and Sunnah. We would try to make available some items that our brothers and sisters at, for instance, EsinIslam.Com, Awqaf Africa and Awqaf Africa Muslim Open College have not made available or that they have permitted us to publish exclusively.
The managements and Ad-Du'aat at the Sheikh's Adelabu's institutions including EsinIslam.Com (and IslamAfrica.Com and IslamicAfrica.Com ) have expressed no objection in us publiching any material from the portals without further request for permission. Materials and course-works from Awqaf Africa Muslim Open College may also be published here without restriction.
Thus, we have provided here the header banner (as shown above) and story feeds (as in our right column). This would enable our reader to keep up to the latest and rich materials from the Muslim portal by the students of Sheikh Adelabu.
Our sisters and spouses have agreed team-up with At-Taqiah Sisters of Umm-Abdullah Adelabu to foster women and cater for their needs on this blog.
With assured supports from senior students of Sheikh Adelabu, including Brother Ad-Daa'i Abu Bilal Brother Mousa Philips, Abu Abdurrahman Brother Hafiz Adesokan, Abu Dawud Brother Yahya (John) Jofe, Abu Adil Brother Hmid Haqq, Umm Halimah Sister Madinah Aziz, Umm Thanaa Sister Nadia Zuhail etc., we seek to benefit the world as taught by the African Muslim Scholar, championing Sunnah, demolishing Bid'ah (i.e. Religious Innovations and Ignorance) and fighting against injustice, exploitations, corruptions, racism, Zionism, imperialism, tribalism etc... - pleasing Almighty Allah (swt), defending Allah's Apostle Muhammad (saw) and serving the Great Cause of Islam.

It is not a branch or part of our Sheikh's main Da'wah projects such as EsinIslam.Com, Awqaf Africa, Awqaf Africa Muslim Open College, Taqiah Sisters and Fatih-ul-Fattah. The blog is an effort to give our contribution to the good works of these Da'wah project in our best ways possible.
